An animation created for the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia, to present the syllabus for their first-year ethics course. It was created after the two content based animations, “Introduction to Ethics,” and “Ethical Frameworks,” and includes characters and props from both to help tie the three animations together. Artwork was created in Adobe Illustrator and then imported into Adobe After Effects for animation.

An animation created for The Darden School of Business at University of Virginia, as a follow-up to the Introduction to Ethics animation I had previously created for them. This built on the principles of ethical theory by describing how an ethical framework can assist in the decision-making process. Artwork was created in Adobe Illustrator and then imported into Adobe After Effects for animation.

This is a page where I post random images and rough concepts that I think are worth posting but are either incomplete or don’t really fit anywhere else. (Click any image to open viewer)

This is a collection of superhero illustrations I’ve done over the years in various styles.  Most were created with a tablet in Photoshop or Manga Studio, with the exception of the Superman and Batman sketches, which were created on my iPad in Adobe Ideas using a Bamboo drawing stylus. This a promotional animation I created for Allison Partners, an organizational development consulting firm located in Charlottesville, VA.  Similar to the animation I created for the website, mypianostartshere.com, the narration was written and recorded first, and then I developed the animation to support what was being spoken.  The animation was created in Adobe After Effects, with all the art assets created in Adobe Illustrator.

This a promotional animation I created for the music education website, MyPianoStartsHere.com.  The goal of the animation was to create something that would appeal to both parents and children, while providing information about the website and its content and philosophy.  The final concept organized the structure of the animation into three parts that work together as a whole, as seen in the video below, or could be broken apart into individual segments, as it appears on the My Piano Starts Here website. The animation was created in Adobe After Effects, with all the art assets created in Adobe Illustrator.

These are a series of Holiday Cards I’ve created over the past several years inspired by classic holiday TV specials.  I enjoyed the challenge of replicating the unique style of each one, and deciding how to integrate my wife and I into each scene. (Click any image to open viewer)

I’ve posted some character designs for a graphic novel project I’ve been working on in my free time.  I’m not ready to give a lot of details, but I was happy with how these turned out, so I wanted to post them.  Obviously the characters have the names of Greek gods, so that’s at least a little hint.
